Hello ... been a while again. I did my weigh in last night and in the last 2 weeks gained 1/2 pound. So in my challenge of not gaining weight this last 8 weeks.......drum roll....I did it. I stayed even in my weight loss. I am proud of me....
Our leader said to "protect your weight loss". It took awhile to lose this weight and I need to protect it. Is that extra helping on my plate really worth it? Respect what you have lost already.
She also touched on the stress of the holiday season. Our automatic response is usually physical, emotional and then behavioral. Don't feed your feelings. Get to the root of the problem. It is not food, trust me. Write down what you eat ~ journal your feelings at the time also. Find alternatives to eating. Maybe go for a walk, read a book, clean out a closet...
At this time you have a lot of parties to go too and even the Christmas dinner or New Year's Eve coming up. Choose 3 low calorie foods you can either bring to the party or know they will have for you to choose. Don't go to the party hungry. Eat a large salad beforehand. This way you will not be so hungry as to choose the wrong food or large portions. Also for a day before and after the party, choose lower calorie days so as to average out the week. This can also be accomplished by doing more physical activity.

Hmmm...guess I should have read this before I went to my brothers for Christmas. :)
