Hello lovelies....
I went to my meeting yesterday and lost .6. I will take it. I am on a roll now. Only with Jesus can I continue this. By now I would have stopped for sure. Of course I wanted to lose at least 20 pounds by now....but that is not just feasible.
I remember going to a different kind of weight loss meeting thru a friend of mine named Dr. Nick. He lost over 200 pounds over 10 years ago and has kept it off. He had a saying "You have to change the way you see, before you change the way you look. I will take that a step further.
Rom 12:2 Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect. Is is God's will for you to be a healthy weight? Personally I think it is. You will be a much better servant if you are in better health.
For me who has a food addiction, I have to not be conformed to this world. I have to renew my mind to stay the course.....what do you think?

I agree completely. We have to quit focusing on the things of this world that only satisfy our flesh. We have to focus on the things of God which will satisfy our spirit. Only when our spirit is satisfied can we quit letting food rule us.
Great post!
Blessings to you my friend!
And thanks for joining Weight Loss Wednesday!
Amen! Food is so fleetingly satisfying.
I really love the quote from your friend. I wish we could all see ourselves the way Jesus sees us.
Congrats on the loss! I do need to focus on the fact the food doesn't satisfy us - only God can!
Thank you for your comment, Twinnie - and I'm sorry that we have so much in common, i.e. our mom's w/ dementia. What a difficult disease. ((( hugs )))
Why don't you join me in the 6 in 6? I'd love to have company!
