Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.
Once we decide something is wrong, (being overweight, for exam-ple), then doing that thing is sinful. Some may say, 'Well, the Bible doesn't say obesity is a sin.' The Bible does tell us that anything we do that makes us less than God created us to be is a sin. To be pure in heart means to try to do everything we know we ought to do. We ought to regard our own bodies with respect. We ought to be an example for others to follow. We ought to do all we can to be all we can. When we stay true to what we know in our hearts is right, then we will be assured of a place with God in His kingdom.
Today's thought: I will do all I can to be all I am meant to be!
I had my weigh in last night. I was shocked!! I did everything I did the first week and only lost 1/2 pound!! To say I was disappointed was an understatement. The nurse and the doc said the second week our bodies are getting the point of us losing weight and it says...whoa...what are you doing to me....trying to starve me... So the second week is usually a smaller weight loss. But I also tried their chicken soup. This has some salt in it and the nurse thinks I may be holding water too. So all in all, they were not surprised or upset with this. They look for trends of your body over a whole month.
I will just keep trusting God for this and keep on keeping on...after all 7 pounds in 2 week is not bad...
