I was so happy when I went to my meeting yesterday. I "felt" smaller and not so puffy. I know I have felt this before and have not lost anything. But I lost 2.4 this week. I am stoked to say the least.
I went back to basics. I wrote everything I ate and I did use some of my weekly 49 on some dinners and one treat. It seems like they say is true, as least for me. If I know I can use some points for one treat every week, then I can look forward to that. If I had to give up everything.....I fail. Let's face it, I love to eat and I love my treats. Duh.....isn't that how I got to be so heavy!!
I also pulled out my book "Made to Crave" and studied different parts again. I really believe with all my heart that this addiction, this idol of food, can only be helped with the grace of our Lord. If I did not pray before I ate, I know I would have taken seconds, and maybe thirds too. Like I said, I am a very good cook and I shop the large size stores to prove it. I know that one day I will be a "normal" size....but only if I make the right choices with God's help.
May He be with you this week and let's fight this battle with the only One who can truly help us do that...our Creator God

Congrats on the great loss! AWESOME! I just bought Made to Crave but haven't read much of it yet. Hopefully life will calm down soon.

Great job on the loss. I think I need to be praying about my food more.
Good job! It feels so good to know you've done well. I love your strategy for going back to the basics. I need to do that. Thanks for being an encouragement! And thanks for joining Weight Loss Wednesday!
I know what you mean about not having the mother-daughter relationship. It's hard to parent your parent! It's been that way for quite a while for me - it became way too much information for me to share about my life, so we just share about the weather, what's out the window, and her plants or whatever is around her. Very sad. ((( hugs ))) (Do we have to go through EVERYTHING together???!!!)

PS the sunflowers were from a drive to mom's last summer - there's a place with a whole field of sunflowers! So pretty! I see it now and it's all dead sunflowers - made me think of last summer so I put that up for the header.
