I have been reading so much good stuff out there. Here is a wrap up of some of what I read...
Mindful Eating?? Are you sometimes aware of what you are eating and how much? Are you purposely snacking and making your meals healthy? Are you writing it down? The people who keep journals have lost the most weight and also are the ones who have kept it off.
1. Never eat distracted.
All those bites, licks, and tastes during the day can add up to 500 calories.
2. Do not visit a restaurant starving.
Your will power will be low at this point.
3. Share a meal.
The meals out are way too big and you will be ahead of the game if you share or at least ask for a box in the beginning of your meal and take half off the plate and save it for a later meal.
4. Don’t aim for 100% full.
It took me awhile to do this and I still have trouble with this one. We will eat again my friends...don't worry we live in the land of milk and honey...there will be another meal for you. You don't have to stuff yourself at this one.
Just some thoughts for you this fine sunny Saturday morning. It is beautiful here...go out and burn some of those calories....

I have trouble with #4, too.
Yes I think when we've been used to overeating, it's hard to eat "mindfully" especially the not 100% full. Personally I find knowing that my stomach is about 2 cups helps me more in this. Good post!

With Keith gone I do have a problem with mind-full eating...I know I am doing a lot more emotional eating while he is gone.
And I love D's comment...yes, it is hard to remember that all I am putting down is a tad more than will fit. :) Great point to remember.
